Flock Feeds RSS Icon and My News Recovery

Monday 04 June 2007 at 8:23 pm After some time using Flock as my default browser I've noticed an annoyance: the orange RSS Feed icon wasn't showing up in the address bar anymore on sites offering feeds and my saved subscriptions were not updated automagically too in the integrated My News feeds reader. Luckily, here's the solution to recover it back:

On the irc.flock.com #flock channel jeremy gave me a hint which suggested removing probably b0rked file ~/.flock/browser/<random_hash>.default/flock_feeds_root.rdf from saved user profile but in my case it was another file which was corrupted and thanks to yosh who said "make sure all the flock_feeds_* files look like valid xml" I've found the culprit was flock_feeds_discovery.rdf - it didn't look like XML but binary file, so I closed Flock, removed the file and on the next start, w00t, the problem was fixed !
